Halal Supply Chain 2010 - The Logistics event for Halal Industry

Held at Holiday Villa @ Subang Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Halal Supply Chain 2010 brought in 75 overseas guests under one roof to discuss and exchange the industrial information for Halal Industry.

The event started off with Mr. Paul Lim, the founder of Supply Chain Asia welcoming all the guests and the guests of Honor YB Dato’ Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, Deputy Minister, Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia.

Topics discussed in the conference included the overview of challenges and development of Halal Supply Chain worldwide today, the components of Halal Supply Chain and the role Malaysia is playing in this industry for the next 5 to 10 Years.

In the meantime, subjects such as the requirements for improving Halal supply chain operation efficiency for users and service providers, as well as the strategies to patch the gaps in logistics operation of Halal industry were also discussed and shared among all the onsite visitors.

Further more, Mr. Xavier Pairada, General Manager of SSI Schaefer Malaysia, India and Thailand presented Schaefer Automated Systems and Integrated Solutions for distribution centers in the presentation session, he emphasized the market trends of today’s logistics industry, and the advantages of having the semi/fully - automated distribution center for companies with warehouse facilities. The guests were very impressed with the automated technology offers by SSI SCHAEFER.
